Discover Kaapsehoop is an independent heritage archive documenting the history, people, and landscapes of Kaapsehoop and the wider De Kaap region. It is kept by descendants of families who have never left the mountain — among them the Nel, Lambourn, Topham and Latré line, more than thirty of whose forebears rest in the Kaapsehoop Historical Cemetery. Through archival research, photographs, oral histories, and community memory, we work to preserve the mountain’s story and pass it on.
